Influx: an inflow of water into a river, lake, or the sea.
When we were in the planning stages of Influx, we kept coming back to this idea that within Christianity, we all come from our own distinct journeys and come together as one to seek and worship God. Some of us have been on journey with Jesus longer, some of us are still asking questions about whether or not you should follow Jesus. No matter where you are at on your individual journey, we want Influx to be a place where all of us intersect and come together. That’s why we loved the definition of “influx.” It represents the reality of what we are continually trying to strive for.
Influx is an environment for students (6th grade-12th grade) that is so much more than a youth ministry; it’s a community for students. In this community, students will experience belonging, love, and friendship as we seek Christ together.
Our students developed this mission statement for Influx:
Influx is an engaging community for students to belong and to grow in their relationship with themselves, each other, and God.
We gather as a group every Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. and every Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m.
